Iowa State Fair Sesquicentennial Fountain Intallation Photos

The Sesquicentennial fountain that Artisanstone.com has created for the
Iowa State Fair is made from one solid piece of Black Granite. Precisely sculpted into a perfect 5 foot diameter sphere weighing 12,500 lbs. The sphere fits into a custom made 8,500 LB solid granite base. The giant spheres kinetic movement is created by water pumped in from the base, it will then lift and rotate the sphere and create the movement of the planet. The Continents of our Earth have all been etched by hand into the granite by our Artisans. A year and a half was put into the planning, design, fabrication and install of this momentous fountain that commemorates our Iowa State Fair history. The power of water can truly astounding when witnessing a sphere of this magnitude being put into motion. This custom made fountain will be at our Iowa State Fair for many generation from now, for all to be amazed and amused.

A Beta Video is available upon request for TV Press release: Off load from truck, crane set up, set and install of base and sphere into motion

My Sincerest Thanks to the Entire State Fair Staff !
